Looks like your cat likes the K&N oil as well.

How is that from oil blowout? That line gets fed into the intake AFTER the MAF.

And when the engine is pressurized it sprays oil all inside the intake. There've been many instances of engine oil getting all over the inside of the intake pipe and MAF. That's what the oil catch can mod is supposed to help eliminate.

Like I said before--the only way this would be KN fluid is due to operator error on the application of it. Spray to much for the filter to absorb -- and it gets all over the inside of the intake tube and MAF also. Just like the oil blowout.

No your fine, since a flash writes into the ecu memory, so disconnecting the battery won't have any effect on the flash.

I guess I will take your word for it, but I would have thought the turbo sucking in air would be stronger that the vapor/oil that's being put into the intake.

You should do some research before trying to call someone out. I just talked to Chris at AMS and he had two (2) cars in one day that he was tuning that had ENGINE OIL on their MAF from blowout. It happens. Get over it.

Hell, I have oil on the inside of my intake as well, but luckily doesn't quite reach the MAF.

You're probably right though in this case--this guy most likely just over lubed his filter, considering the amount in his photos.

It's not a big deal man--some cars have it and some cars don't. Don't take my word for it though...read up on some stuff. Better yet, take a look at how close the oil residue is to your MAF in your own intake. The best knowledge is from first hand knowledge or experience. That's why I do all the wrenching and wiring of the car myself or with a friend. It's all about getting under the car and getting to know intimately what makes her tick...in addition to driving her, of course.

I did this a few weeks ago. Mine wasnt that dirty but I did get a better idle. I think that was more from cleaning my Buschur filter though.
