Any of you 2.3 or 2.4 guys running the 20g-LT / FP Grn turbo?

if so, is the boost response hyper sensitive?

i am into transient response, but dont want anything over-the-top.

I havent found any 2.3/2.4 20g-lt pump gas dyno charts, if you have 1, please post it. please list your mods & gas used too.

Thanks, aby

Good thread. I'm interested in seeing this too. Especially on a dynojet. It would be soo much fun to buckle the asphalt under all four tires from stoplights with this setup. I bet it would run out of breath badly at 6000+ rpms though.

Agreed, on a stroker motor, I wouldn't run anything smaller than a 50trim, and even that is a bit too small. Lots of taper there too on race gas.

BTW, it looks like a SoCalEvo reunion. LOL

David Buschur has done the 2.3/20g-lt, Said it worked good. I have yet to see any dyno sheets.

Dave said it worked well with 264's but not larger cams.. I believe

David said "I've put a green on a stroker, with smaller cams it worked good, with BF272 cams it did not work well at all. Too small for a stroker AND BIG cams."

i agree, a 2.3 or 2.4 motor running a 20g-lt on c-16 or even 100 oct, you'll max it out fairly soon, on 91 octane......

however, i am fairly certain, there is a huge camp of evo owners who dont run 100 octane or even c16, so this info will be quite useful.

my 2.0L dj dyno graph max's the oem 16g out @ 360 on 91 octane, however i average +350 whp between 5,500 - 7,500!

Yes, the oem is maxxed out!

if i can get a +40whp on a 20g-lt over a oem 16g while using a aem ecu, then i can only broaden the power on my stroker by ~500 revs? maybe more......

the 50 trim is touted as being the pump gas turbo, but based on 2.0l dyno charts, the 50 trim can be down ~80-40whp between the rpms of 3k-4.5k, basically the revs i will encounter 95% of the time that i am driving my car.

the average 3076 only makes ~390whp on a dj while using 100% 91 octane, then you get some lag / loss of transient boost repsonse with the std. 0.63 turbine housing.

here is a dyno chart of my tme pasted againt a 20g-lt on 91 octane using ecu flash & a 3076r supposedly running 91 octane also ecu flash, i believe.

http://www.socalevo.net/index.php?op...topic=40773.15

at 4k, my tme is +100 whp over a 3076r!! too bad i cant find any 91 octane, 50 trim bb turbo'd dj numbers to plot my numbers against.

there is someone who has been talking for a while about putting a 20g-lt on their ams 2.3, but it hasnt happened.

who knows where the limit is on the 20g-lt on pump? especially 91 octane
while having a lower cr! the 20g-lt's supposedly shine on higher boost levels.

these are my thougths & that is why i am wondering if ther are any big motored 20g-lt powered cars running around.

Wot when my green ever arrives and is tuned I will let you know. im running the 2.3 stroker RRE with hks 272/272 cams with nearly every bolt on. If I recieve my turbo this week I should have dyno number by the end of the month using the stock ecu. Let me know if you can port my mani.
