First Oil Change

sorry for the newb question but umm...the maintenance manual said my first oil change is scheduled for 3 months or 3750 miles or something like that. i was told from friends that i should change it after my break-in period, which is 600 miles. what am i supposed to do? thanks...

This has been discussed before and it is pretty much a personal preference. It doesn't really matter when you change it as long as you at least change it when the manual says. I changed mine at 1,250 which is kinda in the middle and everything is fine with my car.

my first oil was done at ~3,000. i have 30k+ now and no problems at all besides the uncontrollable urge to spend money on mods, its all up to you but always safe staying somewhere in the middle like 1-2k.

manual says 5,000 in mine, using synthetic oil 3,000-3500 is a good one to use, at least thats what I do, 2000 or less seems like a waste and not necessary.

Depends on the oil you use, w/ Mobil1, Id say 3500-5200 miles depending on how you drive your ride.
