Help...gears locked out
Ok so i was about to get it towed and it just felt real wierd. I put it in reverse and turned the car on and it just started backing out of the garage with the clutch to the floor. I got to the top of my driveway and the clutch felt a lot lower (when released) than my brake pedal. I looked down and the clutch was about 6 inches lower than my brake pedal. I reached down and just gave it a little pressure and it popped right back up. It was now driveable and never went into gears better than it did on my way to the shop. Because of this im guessing its just an adjustment problem and that the clutch was just not adjusted properly. Im hoping its not a bad slave cylinder, but I wont find out the actual problem though till friday. Ill make another post when i do.

if you started it in reverse with the clutch pedal pressed down and it starts to move could be 3 things.
1. if you removed the slave cylinder when you installed it then try bleeding the system.
2.your act clutch has lost a spring into the pressure plate.
3.your pressure plate could be having some issuses.
does the cllutch pedal feel wierd if you let off it slowly (vibration in the pedal noise etc.)does it feel sponge like by any chance.

Well it felt like a typical aftermarket clutch. Once i kinda pulled it out a bit before it was suppose to be towed...it was still stiff just felt different and wierd with a lot more room for it to go. I think it was because i wasnt use to it, but no noise or vibration or anything. It felt perfectly fine when i drove it to the shop. It went into each gear better than it ever has. From all the research i did i think it just needs to be bled and readjusted. Fingers are crossed its nothing worse but the second i find out the problem i will let you guys know.
