21psi is bout the Best for minor bolt on and TUNED car. You have alott of turbo options but you are lucky and already start with a good one! Exhaust is the 1st mod i would do. Just remember mods dont mean anything without a Good TUNE!!

Just stay on here one night and research everything. Theres a ton of knowledge on here!

21-23 on 93 octane and 19-21 on 91 octane. You can have your factory turbo sent off to forcedperformance.com to get it hopped up sort of speak.

I got a Evo IX MR and I got an AMS Turbo Back Exhaust, AMS Intake Filter, AMS Boost Controller, AEM Eugo Gauge and Defi BF Boost Gauge with an AMS Tune and Boost set at 22 psi on 93 octane and everything runs smooth.

On a stock IX, 24 psi peak boost is possible on 92-93 octane. The trick is that its necessary to taper the boost down to 19-20 psi by 7000 rpm. The stock exhaust chokes the flow at high rpm.

If, when you ask about putting a "bigger fan in it", you are refering to a larger turbine wheel and/or larger compressor wheel and not to the radiator cooling fan, then your only real option is to send your stock IX turbo into Forced Performance and have them upgrade it to an EvoGreen turbo(aka, 20G-LT).
