EGT Temps...at idle and cruise?

newb question...

Where is the stock EGT collected from?

I see 495 ~ 575 @ 80 MPH 65 ~ 70 degree weather.

No. Not safe, IMO. EGT's will drop independantly as soon a you lift your shoe off the throttle....immediately! However, oil temps are the critical reading, relating to possible turbo bearing damage. Oil temps may remain critically high way after EGT's have dropped down to "safe" readings.
