EGT Temps...at idle and cruise?
No. Not safe, IMO. EGT's will drop independantly as soon a you lift your shoe off the throttle....immediately! However, oil temps are the critical reading, relating to possible turbo bearing damage. Oil temps may remain critically high way after EGT's have dropped down to "safe" readings.
