Question about HKS RS Intake

The cage to my HKS RS intake cracked and Ive never really been a fan of the Big Purple Mushroom head on the intake. Id like to use a K&N Cone style filter on it but the space i have to work with is a problem. Has anyone found a way to use a K&N style filter on the HKS pipe? If so how did you do it... i have been able to find a filter that will mount to the HKS maf adapter but they are always to long.

How about measuring the intake pipe where the filter connects to and how much space you have to work with and maybe contact K&N directly?

I'm actually in the same exact boat. I work at a auto parts store so I can order things and send them back if I dont want it. I have the hks filter and the stock intake pipe. I ordered the K & N intake system and plan on using the filter with the pipe. I should be getting it on saturday. So we'll see how well that fits.
