Just out of curiosity.... Does having the AEM make tuning for high boost on pump gas easier then say with a stock ecu?

What did you have the boost tapering to on this run? This is amazing though!!

Im confused how the car is not knocking at that boost level on 93 octane. Ive heard of 27psi on bigger turbos and such, but the Green is not large by any means, and 30psi... arent the EGT's skyrocketing to ridiculous levels?

Nothing being missed here. 30 psi of boost, 93 octane. No tricks, nothing being hidden. It is tough to do on these smaller turbos but as seen, very possible. Daniel has been driving it like this for months, the AEM is new to the car and him learning to tune is new.

Will you disclose his timing numbers at 4000rpm and 7000 rpm?

I guess it is some sort of way you do the timing to allow that sort of boost. I sure would like to see the timing on there. Either way, will you be tuning customers AEM/GREEN setup cars at these high boost levels on pump gas or just the regular 23psi we've seen in the past.

not the first time.... I did the same experiment for fun a while back on my car and was making very good numbers too. The car was great to drive and didnt knock very easily even after lots of beating on. But it did make less power quicker....

For some odd reason the boost in this particular car barely tapers. I'd say it is still holding 25+ psi at 7300 rpm when I stopped the run. Probably has the least taper of any Green at this boost level I have seen.

Yes, the AEM makes running this kind of boost much easier than the stock ECU, as a matter of fact, I can admit that I could NO WAY IN HELL accomplish this on the stock ECU.

I won't say the car is being pushed it its limits but 30 psi is high. I have no intention of seeing the car blown up or damaged, so LIMITS, I'd say no.

Timing numbers from 4000 to 7000 rpm sure.....................................

NOT. haha No way, it wouldn't do you any good anyway. You'd need to have it plotted against boost for it to mean anything. Sorry.

I just tuned a customers car right after finishing Daniel's car. I tuned it at 28 psi of boost on E85. A straight Stage 1-4, different companies exhaust, EVO9, AEM EMS, double pumper, 1000 cc, it made 394 whp.

OKIX, VERY NICE, I watched your video. 11.3 at 121 on a reflashed ECU on the same setup I just did for Daniel. Well almost, you engine/head is still stock. Very nice, thanks for making me proud.

Now get your dad to get his car out of the garage and onto the track and run some 9's with it!!

Thanks..With the few tweeks my father has made we should see our 10 second pass with this setup, as soon as I get the car back.
