Judging by our sig, you have a really good amount of mods....are you considering trying the swap?

Im probably wrong, but I dont think you would have to swap the whole motor. Only the things that effect MIVEC

Am I right guys...?

It can be done no problem - we have don this before on a road racing car - its just a matter of changing over a vew harneses and the ecu

i've heard about it done. if i can recall, for u it would probably be easier to swap the whole engine rather than parts. but u will need the ecu from the 9 and the wire harness as well. tranny wise it should line up like a glove!

correct me if im wrong guys. but im pretty sure thats all u need. ecu wire harness engine

I have. It took 2 days to remove everything including the 6sp and controls and took 6 days to put it back together, (except interior). It took another 2 days to figure out that my '05 immobilizer did not want my '06 ECU and had to swap out immobilizer, steering columns and keys. It, also, took me a couple of weeks in between to rewire the engine harness to accept abs because the '05 is a MR and the '06 is a RS. You might not have a problem with the immobilizer and if you don't have to mess around with abs, it can be done easily in two weeks. I had no helper and was a little burnt out by the end, but I had a good time, drank some beer(Abita amber), and listen to some music late in to the nights.

edit; I swapped in the RS 5 speed.

All you need is the Ecu and the wiring harness.
