what is best mod to do with 800?

 

Get a Methanol kit and a Tune....

 

do i need cam gears right away or can i use stock till i got the money

 

I would get some aftermarket cams too. Just look in the forsale section for the Smc methanol kit and cams.

 

Another vote for some GSC S1 cams & a retune. You can use the stock gears & springs with the S1 cams.

GSC S1's. Better midrange than the HKS 272's.

 

I would get cams for sure, now on which ones you ultimately need that is your choice, do a lot of searching before you buy.

 

a 37r is turbo for a high reving motor, do some research and you'll see that alot of people running this turbo choose a 2.0 cause of its ability to rev, HOWever If your interested in a destroked 4g64 or 2.1 L then your in the right direction. a 37r is a HUGE turbo.... LOTS of lag and LOTS of power...... and dont forget LOTS of money. If you want a High HP EVO, you cant forget about the high cost that go with it. To do it correctly and have little problems you need about 10-15k depending on setup. HOWEVER alot of this is labor and i would suggest talking a tuner like BR or AMS, and really thinking realiticly about your power goals.


For now, I think you should go with a set of comp 272s or some GSC S1 and go from there, Great cam lots of power.

So thats CAMS and a NICE tune. a well spent 800.

My 2cents. thats the direction i would start in.
