BC 2.6 stroker

Ok, I've heard it all before. I know their stroker kits suck. Has anyone actually even tried the 4g64 2.6ltr stroker though? Any idea what the max is that you could spin it?

I would bet that you can't rev it above 7-7500 safely. It would also have to be balanced well and use a dampner.

Perhaps it would be the first Evo tow truck in recorded history?

You could always bolt a cattle-catcher to the nose and use it to pull stumps. I see where you're going with this . . .

I thought there was an Evom circle-jerk for Slowboy's announced 2.5. No love for the extra .1?

Here is a thread discussing this topic...

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=282381

Summary = Big displacement , but sideloading may be a serious issue, definitely will not be a high RPM engine

Well, I would rather add displacement to broaden the powerband over high revs due to the tranny and daily drivability

I would think that the added torque from the additional displacement would be harder on your drivetrain components than the higher revs of the less torquey 2 liter. At least, I always heard that torque is more detrimental to clutch longevity than high revs would be. Or are you just talking about driveability when you mention the tranny?

Same question can be applied to the LS1 evo.

Gee, I don't know - maybe put together a big turboed Evo that spooled like stock and was actually torquey and fun to drive around...

- oh yeah, I forgot - teh lag is soooooo over-rated...
