Void Warrenty?

Hey guys,

First of all, I just want everyone to know I'm new here. I'm a proud owner of a 05 MR. However, I have a little problem that I've run into and need some advice and wisdom.

I have a ACT flywheel and ACT stage II clutch set up. My 6th Gear is hard to get into so I took it into the shop...sync problem? Right now they'll tell me my warranty is probably void cause of the after market clutch...is this true? anyone else experience this similar problem?

If I did loose my warranty cause of the set up...what's the best way to fix it? Rebuild the tranny?

The dealer has to prove that the parts installed on your car caused the failure in question. Having an aftermarket part on your car does not give the dealer an automatic "out" when it comes to repairing you car under warranty. Keep in mind that Mitsubishi provides the warranty and pays for the fix, not the dealer. The final answer on whether or not the part/parts get fixed comes from Mitsubishi North America. You also do not "lose" the warranty because you have aftermarket parts on the car, good luck.

For one thing you dont want to have to find out if your warranty is void because then you will have to pay them TEAR DOWN cost!

2nd Dont let the dealership rebuid your trans...go to professional like SHEP he will take car of you! I REPEAT DO NOT LET DEALERSHIP REBUILD YOUR TRANS!

3rd and lastly take my advice and save your self a lot of PAIN time and money. I've been through the legal situations....unless you can afford a better lawyer then mitsubishi can dont dick around!

The dealer will void your warranty because you installed a stronger clutch then what they will think detroyed your syncros. So i would not take the chance. Look into having someone else rebuild your tranny. You will save alot of $$$$.
