- The stock turbo tapers
- The more boost you run, the more it tapers
- The higher altitude you're at, the more it tapers
- IXs tend to taper a bit more due to the MIVEC as well
- NEVER make a post about boost before doing a boost leak test

There is no boost leak, had it checked already. I've seen other members with stock turbo hold the boost better.

Had it checked by whom, with what tools, and to what boost level?

You've seen other members hold it better? What setup, how much boost, what altitude, what method of logging, what altitude, and what mods?

use ecu controlled boost or a EBC to customize your boost curve, but even though the stock IX turbo will usually taper to about 19-20, which is about where you at. You can get the turbo to hold 22 at redline, but thats really pushing it out of its efficiency range.
