Cleaning HKS filter???

I was wondering if you can use the K&N cleaning kits on the HKS drop-in filter? If not, what should I use to clean it?

No you can't clean it with the K&N solutions.
First thing that would probably happen is your MAF getting screwed.

HKS recommend changing it after 3k miles. I used to run mine 4k-5k miles and then just buy a new one.

My advice, just buy a new one. Its no more than $30.

EDIT: Sometimes I used to have bugs or dirt in there, I just used to vacuum it out.

Use dishsoap to clean and a thick sticky oil like UNI filter oil. K&N oil is too thin for a foam filter
