Which 35R Kit is Best? !!Make Money No Issue!!
OP if you have not driven a 35r car do it first. I drove an HTA 35r this weekend and it totally changed my mind about going with a big turbo. Granted it is still on pump gas and at a low psi. But lag is horrible.
Def not for me. Lag was very bad it's like 6k before you feel anything. At least on his built motor he can rev to 9k rpm plus.
But on a stock motor...it would be a disaster in my eyes.
For a DD it would suck. All out drag car sure cause you are going to stay above 6k. Other then that I don't know.
Def drive one before you buy...in traffic..on the highway.. all of it.

To those who may speculate otherwise, a big turbo will still feel like a big turbo at lower engine speeds and throttle settings - which is laggy. There is no 'magic bullet' that remedies this.
The HTA mod obviously presents some improvement in WOT spool and torque, but it cannot eliminate lag.
Twinscroll setups go a good ways to making the entire rpm range feel more linear at all throttle settings, but it's still a big turbo you're trying to tame, and it won't behave like a stock-framed turbo.
It's been said as long as this forum has been around that big turbos are not for everyone. Be sure you have a good idea of what you're getting into before you dive wallet first into it.
