Shift Linkage??

I had a strange problem the other day. I was driving a little spirited-ly and came to a stop. I had to make a left turn, so i was waiting for the car to pass by so i could proceed.

I then put the car in what i thought was first and the car stalled out, it was in 3rd. I started the car put it back into what i thought was 1st. I made sure i wasn't going to third, all the way left and up, same thing happened. I then took it out of gear, and shook it in neutral. I did notice it was getting stuck (sluggish) when i was moving it to the right in neutral. I then put it back in first and went on my way.

Has this happened to anyone before? It kinda scared the crap outta me. I hope its simple shift linkage problem.

I don't want to have to bring the car back to the dealer again. It has been in for the tranny twice in the last 9 months (1500 miles) I dont want to bring it in the 3rd, its starting to become a headache.

Thanks for all the help guys

But the whole bring the car to stock process is a real pita. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this before. Hopefully its just the bushings?

Is it mushy feeling and sorta fights you to go in gear? Im having the same problem and would like to know if others have had this happen too. Im pretty sure it isn't the bushings, ive tried the zaklee, kartboy(currently installed), and stock.

It doesn't really fight me it just feel stiffer when in neutral on the right side. But only until i give it a wiggle and put it back in first then its ok, until i take another spirited run.

Before i give it that wiggle 1st pretty much equals 1st.

Its like the shift linkage is not lined up properly, i have no idea if that makes any sense.
