Got my T-back from UR

I received my t-back from UR and I just wanted to say the Darryl is a very nice guy and was helpful

also, to those you have the 3" UR tback system, did you receive any gaskets with the kit. I realized today when I went to install the system that I had NO gaskets I didnt get that far, but maybe the gaskets for the cat and DP are reused, but what about the muffler

I called and left a message with UR at 8pm tonight, just to let them know, but they werent there

I will see when I talk to him tom.

Also, I didnt realize that even the cat-back system required the relocation of the O2 sensor. The O2 sensor in its stock location is located right on the cat back tube about 6 inches behind the cat.

You need to use some high temp silicone gasket material for the downpipe and for the muffler. Make sure to remove the donut from the O2 housing. Make sure everything seals good too... I havent had a prob yet..

Yea it sucks, I *****ed to Daryyl about it too, it sucks. Theyre setup is TOP quality though. 3" DP fits to perfection and the muffler placement is perfect as well.

Super--

Please let me know how you like it and what it sounds like when you get it on. I have the cat back and love it-- I will most likely get the rest of the system later this year.

I used the high temp exhaust sealent as boosted said for the catback. No probs here either.

I made my own gaskets with cork because the silicone stuff I used melted and leaked like a ****. It's all sealed up now.

What is the difference between a Cat-Back exhaust system and Turbo Exhaust system?

I was going to get RMR complete exhaust system but with all the Negitive talk about them on the forums I have changed my mine.

I did a search on Ulitmate-Racing exhaust and there is almost nothing on them .
If you can, leave a step by step out line from gaskets, 02 sensor, to having it install.
If anyone else has UR exhaust plz post overall results.

where did you get the cork from??

Outline,

Muffler 3 bolts attached to catback pipe attached by 2 bolts to Test pipe + o2 sensor attached to DP by 2 bolts attached to exhaust of turbo.

Got this from Darryl today:

Hi Ed,

We don't use gaskets. We suggest the use of a high temperature gasket
sealant. The brand we use is Permatex "The Right Stuff". This works great
for us! Check your local auto parts store, I'm sure they have it.

Thanks

Darryl

Advance Auto parts where I live. Comes in a roll and you can just cut it out to fit the flanges. No leaks at all. Cost like 5 bucks.

I've used high temp sealant, and it melts after awhile. Never tried the permatex, though.

3 inch Catback to 2.5 inch cat

I also recieved my UR catback today. Before I tear it appart and get a supprise, how does the 3 inch exhuast mount up to the 2.5 inch cat? I also have the 3 inch test pipe. If I use that I still have the same question - how does the 3 inch test pipe mount up to the 2.5 inch down pipe?

I will say the exhaust quality is top notch. They should have an option to pay an extra $10-20 for the 2 or 3 gaskets you need. I would rather use a gasket for the test pipe since it may be coming off and on a bit.

So where does the rear O2 sensor get relocated to? My UR cat back doesn't have an O2 bung. The test pipe has an O2 bung but I don't want to use the test pipe all the time. So if I want to run the stock cat were does the rear O2 sensor go?
