what the freakin heck is goin' on!

I put my TBE on.... I don't have any other mods and I understand the car HAS to have a flash (flash, fuel pump and drop in coming soon) It's winter, I don't see myself buying mods in the freaking winter....

I put the exhaust on "just because...." long boring day and had nothing else to do. Wasn't looking to get power, just basically looking at fitment BUT I COULDN'T GET THE STOCKER BACK ON AFTER!!!! I have to put rust inhibitor and all kinds of other junk on it first but I realllllyyy didn't want to have to go through the process of having to switch the TBE back on in the spring so I'm just leaving it haha

Now I don't get on it toooooo much anyways seeing as I'll be using it for track days next year. I do a third gear pull onto the highway here and there just to see how the cars doing (I have an e-01 with the EBC not hooked up) Basically, I just read the boost to see whats up. I'll do like a couple pulls a week and everytime I do a pull it gets sloowwweeerrr and sloowweeerrr and slooweeerrr.... I spike 23.5 (BAD!!) drop to 15 psi and it holds around that area! I did a leak test and all and theres NO LEAKS! what the frick is my frickin car doing?? is it just in desperate need of a flash?? lol It doesn't pull hard to redline at allllllllllllllllllll

2003 evo 8 with TBE and thats it......

air compressor and watched the gauge and listened for any leaks... Someone I know has a smoke machine type thing... do those work???

It def holds boost... I'm beginning to think maybe its the ECU??? I mean the TBE has been on for a little while... maybe if I reset the battery?

I am spiking 23.5 psi on a bone stock evo soooooooo I don't know....

maybe I should do another leak test but I mean it gets worse and worse, I don't want to be running a half *** car next year ya know? Maybe a flash will solve it but I just don't know. It's probably even dangerous to drive the car with a TBE and no flash huh?

is that ALL you have done?? you say you have and e-01. is it connected to the car?? or just installed and not being used??

knock may be pulling your timing. did you reset the ECU after your modification?? sometimes it doesnt understand the extra "flow" from the exhaust and will take awhile for the ecu to relearn the fuel curve naturally. disconnecting the battery and waiting about 10 minutes will usually help.

yea the e-01 is being used strictly as a boost gauge for now.. not hooked up as a boost controller...

See I definatly knew it was something along those lines because it makes perfect sense. I just always need a second opnion before I just start assuming things but that defiantly helps a lot thanks!

I am going to give this a shot.. any other ideas guys would be great too

23 psi is high for un tuned evo specially if you are using 91oct.So more than likely its knocking and pulling timing up top.

some people connect it to the fuel pressure regulator... I avoided that and attached it to a vac line near by on the intake manifold
