Thanks Sean.

9sec9 and Evomojo, you two should hook up (not like two dogs). You'd have a good time. Both of you are great guys to hang out with.

David,
Any pictures of the latest manifold so we can see what you are talking about?

Yes, I can get some pictures next week, if I start posting like a mad man on Monday remind me!

I have to fix the oil return line, going to require something completely custom, might have to have something machined. I really want to keep this header so I'm going to figure it out, pisses me off I didn't catch it when I built it. I was so concerned with the downpipe and outlet of the turbo I didn't consider the oil return line enough. It's close, just going to require a special outlet fitting for the oil return line.

I got two more turbine housings on order, hoping to get them mid week and get the car all checked over and back on the dyno.

I'll tell you something. The old engine was SMOOTH. Incredibly smooth. This engine though is freaking rediculous. At 8,000 rpm all you want to do is keep holding it endlessly to the floor. It's hard to even explain. I am guessing this is how our black car is too but since I never drive it (not even on the dyno) I don't know. It sounds the same though, the black car and this one at 8,000 rpm just want to keep reving endlessly, it's something you can hear......

Thanks David, I'll keep an eye out for the pics.

It may not be an issue with the way the 4G63 pan has the smaller sump where the turbo drains into, but watch out on decel when using the low turbo setups. A friend had a real low turbo setup. Worked fine under power, but when he hit the chute at the end, he ended up filling the IC and exhaust with about 2 quarts of oil. Under braking, the oil in the pan filled the return up and the pressurized oil had no where to go but past the turbo seals and into the compressor and turbine housings. Smoked like crazy and really pissed the track crew off.

As a request, can you print out the corrected dynocharts between these two manifolds? We did some testing on a turbo/manifold change a while back under similar circumstances. The smaller turbo/open header was on a cold day with the larger turbo/divided manifold being on a warm day. It showed a similar 300+ RPM slower spool on the uncorrected numbers, but nearly identical numbers during spool up on the corrected numbers. We also saw about a 400 RPM drop in spool RPM and a 20 peak HP increase by getting the intake temps to start at 25 degree C compared to 45 degree C by icing down the IC before the run.

David, I'm not sure I like you talking about forgetting to get your 'lube' out for the turbo AND making statements like this.

The engine you guys did for my car is the same way. If I don't keep an eye on the tachometer I end up hitting rev limiter... and I shift at 7800 rpm on pump gas! Buschur FTW.
