4th gear problem
My car went 118.72mph with a 1.6 60' foot on pump gas 20lbs and its in the 11's. No mitsubishi isn't gonna do a trans under warranty on a modded car are you on crack? just get a 5 speed and quit asking questions man
well for one no one wants to hear ur weak times at the track thats not what this thread was supposed to be about and second if your not gonna help and answer a question then dont bother posting at all. If anyone knows where i can get the syncros thatd be great. I have to order them online cuz im currently deployed to iraq and cant go about it in person.

getting multiple performance synchros and all tsb done is the right way to go. I got them done during my shepherd trans build. im not sure if u can just buy the right synchros from him. I do know that the special double 5th gear synchro he did requires modifications and u cant just "install" it. besides u benefit from all the machining he does anyways and u have to rip apart ur tranny anyways to get to the synchros.... so just sheptrans.com build it right. im running the act extreme 6 puck and have zero issues.... shifting past 7500rpm no grinds or lock out.
Back to life. I recently had this same issue plaguing my 1/4 mile times. I can no longer no lift shift into fourth from third, and I can not downshift from fifth to fourth. If I slow down my shift from 3rd to 4th it'll go in. Also, when downshifting, if I want to go into forth from fifth I need to go into third first then into forth.
Has anyone asked questions about, or had any issues with, the control housing on the tranny? The control housing also has bearings and bushins. Maybe the reason 4th gear has a lockout issue is because this shaft is being twisted in a wierd direction?
It would be nice if it were somthing easy like that.
