Intake manifold testing.
dave,
thanks for the insight, we will be testing the hypertune on a 50 trim ix as soon as we get the head back from you..
it has a ported stocker and tbody.... curious to see what it does..

David,
Thanks for all the time and hard work. It is greatly appreciated. Don't fret the coulda, shoulda or wouldas. Your provided a great service for the community and regardless of what you did and how you did it, someone would complain.
Cheers,
Robert

I don't ever plan to stop testing but I can gaurantee you I will never put myself in this position again. This has caused me too many problems. I think in the future more testing in private is inline and when I am done I can just suggest a part I think is best.
This has been an excellent learning experience for me personally as I never thought there was 40+ whp to gain in an intake manifold change. Apparently there is more to it than putting some tubing and sheetmetal together.
The dual rail DI intake I have pricing for at the shop but can't remember off the top of my head. The Hypertune has to be made and I do not have pricing, I can check on it. Are you sure you need duel fuel rails? Maybe you and I should talk because I am 99% sure you do not need them. My RS is running 9.6's at 151 on a single set of 1200's. The black car is running 8.8 at 172 on a single set of 1600's. Be glad to discuss it with you.
If any of you are interested in the Hypertune or Kansai, I am placing an order in the next few days for both as I already have some requests. I may be able to drop the price a few dollars (not much) or maybe offer up some free shipping if a few more of you guys want those. The Kansai is going to be 4-6 weeks

Please don't stop the public testing. As long as you use a good methodology, like you did here with the manifolds, the information is invaluable. I've done more than my fair share of testing in the computer world and I can appreciate all of the time and work it takes to not just test, but to insure results that end up in an apples to apples comparison. My hat's off to ya...

Dave , despite our ugly history, these tests are a great contribution to the community. Thank you.
Ludikraut, you see that is the problem. Some of the guys involved in this testing aren't happy with my methods now that the results are in. I am hoping maybe they will do their own testing from now on.
Dave,
Excellent job on all the testing you have done
despite all the flak you have taken
A cryin shame more people don't see all the good you do for the community.
More power to you man

We're going with the DI. For some reason I just feel that it would work best with our smaller turbo setup. It obviously works well with the larger 35 too, but I'm not so sure that the others would work quite as well for the lower flow volumes of the Green. I have nothing to back up my feelings other than gut feelings. If the ported stocker with 65 mm tb increased power by 15whp and the DI showed a 24 whp over the stocker, but with .7 less psi, then it's reasonable to assume that an increase of .7 psi would add at least 6 whp. 24+6 = 30, then the larger tb on the DI should move it to about 40 whp. With our already increase of 15whp, this would net about 25 whp gain over the ported stock w/65mm tb setup we currently run. Being conservative, if we get 15 whp, it's worth it. If we're even going to have a shot at 9's on the Green, we'll need all the help we can get. This is just another step in the 'evolution'.

The day David tops testing is the day Buschur Racing is no more.
