Thanks for the clarification & I believe your assessment is correct & wanted to get David's thought on it as well.

Based on that, it appears that is would really come down to costs/personal preference, if all other things were considered equal.

What I am trying to say is that the manifold has been tested in the past... ported.

It just seems that Hypertune would have an advantage as they have addressed the restriction of the TB.(i wouldn't hold the fact that they made a 77mm tb work with the stock computer against them).

I think the real test will be on ifarted2's motor when everyone is going to maximum power. If other company's want to use bigger Tb's i don't see why they didn't included them.

Yes, I am sure all of the intake manifolds would have gained more power using a 65 mm or even more with a 3" throttle body. How much? I don't know. Hell I have enough problems from performing testing without adding in my guesses to the outcome.

The stock ported intake and 65 mm throttle body were not tested. In the past it gained 15 whp over stock with both parts.

My GUESS is these would help on a stock EVO if they helped on my car. Obviously they'd help less but I bet there would be gains.

Excellent results and a great write up Dave. I know we all appreciate the work and information you have passed to us.

So what's the going rate on the used HKS unit?
