Where is your friction point set on your Exedy?

I have the exedy HD twin disc in my evo and I have the rod on the master cyl. set so that my friend that was touching the slave cyl can't feel any movement in the slave until I have pushed the pedal in a 1/8 or so.

The problem is is my friction point is half way between the floor and full up pedal.

If I lengthen the master rod and get that friction point closer to the top where I can shift easier when driving hard will I be constantly slipping the discs?

TRE has a very good long explanation on the proper point in which the clutch should engage. they say about 3 inches of the floor it should egage roughly. I suggest checking it out. Its under tech Qs. Hope it helps.
