Engine Light w/ Test Pipe?

I am planning to put a test pipe in place of my HFC on my turbo back Buschur Racing exhaust. Am I going to have an engine light on perpetually? I am trying to maintain at least some levels of stock for the purposes of warranty...

Just get a mechanical CEL fix for it. I believe Buschur can sell you one. If not they can be found else where.

Thanks for the responses, the engine light is basically an emissions warning light correct? I am not risking mechanical failure because I am altering the functionality of my sensors, right?

if you have a buschur exhaust it already has the mechanical fix already welded on. it is right after the cat/test pipe.

Not aslong as you get a CEL fix. Its rather simple and this has been covered too many times.

a check engine light can mean many, many different things

considering what you did it's RATHER LIKELY that it's from the exhaust

get a mechanical o2 sensor fix...disconnect battery

reconnect and if it's gone voila

This is the mechanical fix that I did.

An easier way would just have the light disabled in your ECU but I didn't want something to happen to my car and me not know.
