this doesn't always hold true! but it's a rule of thumb

92-93mph in the 1/8 should get you ~ 117-118mph roughly

for what it's worth, I'm running HKS 280 cams on the stock valve train and spank 8500 daily at 500awhp on 93 octane

you've gotta give these engines more credit

The Engine can take it, but not for long, spanking it daily like such, .

500 DLL does not mean 500awhp. If it did, all the dyno 300awhp evos I have tuned could say they have 380awhp, and the dyno 390awhp evos could say they had 450awhp, and on and on and on.

But hey, 500awhp does sound pretty cool to say.

I've revved mine out to 8k plenty of times at the 1/8th in order not to go to 4th. It's not something I do every shift though.

actually it's 535awhp in DLL but thanks for playing I've walked a vette that just went 11.1 @ 124 easily and a 540rwhp LS2 GTO with a 150shot of spray and the g-tech shows 127mph traps...that's all I have to go on until the track opens and there's no dyno within 6 hours.

I've had numerous customers go to a dyno after being tuned and were pleased to see that their DLL numbers were lower then their dyno numbers...thats' because I put in a very conservative weight in DLL for myself and my customers.

I ran across a blog of another tuner and saw his DLL results from tuning customers cars... 16g cars on pump gas making 400awhp and other nonsense like that. He was putting 760lbs for the contents weight to artificially inflate the numbers for them.

the g-tech, DLL etc aren't perfect and only as good as the person setting them up but if done correctly and if you're being honest with yourself it can be a helpful way to gauge your gains

Hmm....so why is it that my DynoJet numbers and my DataLogLab numbers came out to be +/-10? And yes, both of these charts are UNCORRECTED for weather.

With a properly configured DataLogLab its very easy to say...I have set individual car definitions for all Evo VIII & IX models (GSR, SSL, MR, SE, RS) and the different gear ratios on the Evo VIII & IX models as well...and when i log some ones car with a different tire/wheel size i also throw those in the equation....AND i also account for the weight as much as i can (ie people in the car, no tire/jack, etc...)

Rock on in the free world Chris!

Just thought I'd throw my 1/8 time in there.

7.2@96 1.65 60' is the best... Average trap is 96... I've seen 97 once.

This is on 25-26psi with a fairly conservative tune. My trans let go on me last season so I've yet to increase boost to improve further. I have a pretty basic setup with some weight reduction.

If you're into 1/8 mile racing you should check out the 4.11 gear sets. They will allow you to hit 97mph @ 7500 rpm in 3rd gear. I can't wait to get a set... kinda OT i know!
