I'll throw OKIX's times: 5 10.6's in one day at a best mph of 130+, 2 1.49 60', 1/8 et of 6.812 @ 101.9x. 10 runs in a row with an average 60' of 1.51
If it sounds like I'm proud of him, I am. It's his first year to race.

I dont mean to bust ***** in this thread but with the green on unported manifold and stock intake mani and stock motor with 73,000 miles, hks 272/272 and aem I went 11.3@123 on a track that is known to be slow at 3000ft elevation....the driving, tune and parts combo on any car trapping under 115 with this turbo need improvement. I am full weight and was only at 21psi on e85. I went 11.5@119.77 last year with the same parts and like 20 minutes of tuning. 2005 evo gsr. This 11.3 pass was with a 1.77 60ft and lift shifting. I trapped no lower than 122 all day.

Sorry to dig.... I have been searching for awhile, and havent found exact answer to my question. Alot of these track times people have not said if they have cams or not. How is 12.31 @ 113.1 for a green on pump gas, 25 psi, with stock cams, ebay o2 hosing, buschur race fmic, tbe, on a IX RS full weight 92 degrees, 80%+ humidity? Im not even of they turbo is a green. I have not had the 02 housing off. Afrs are 11.3-11.5 under full boost all the way down the track. Timing is average. This was lift shifting also. I was thinking that if the turbo was a green the time is not that wonderful. However now im thinking most times you here are with cams. No doubt some cosworths will wake it up, but getting close to 120 traps on pump might be a little optimistic...

also bringing this thread out of the dead

my mods are as below, went to the track for the first time and my best time was 12.8@110.43. 60 ft was 2.020. i realize i drive like *** but my mph is way low for my mods.

my 1/8th 8.3@85.74mph.

anyone care to analyze that? seems like i meet the "add 25 mph to your 1/8 mph rule of thumb per mellon" car feels very strong and like a beast on the street. going to do a boost leak test to be sure, and get retuned with a wideband (dont have one right now)

just dissapointed in the mph...

some other runs the same night:

13.29@109.25, 1/8: 8.729@86.59. 60 ft 2.3

12.98@109.77, 1/8 8.4@86. 60 ft 2.1.

Are you bogging really bad off the line? That can kill your MPH.

Your 60' times show that you have a lot to gain, just be working on the launch more. Your setup, indicates that it could easily go 1.7's or 1.8's with very little practice. Take the 'extra' .4 to .5 off of your 60 and you'll take at least .7 off of your et. That would put you easily into the low 12's. If the boost was turned up to 25 to go with the 93 octane, you'll gain about 20 whp and you'll begin to see the benefit of the Green. Good luck.

im sure i am. it was my first time and it was a bit of a blur.. i revved it up and held it at 5000, once the light turned green, i slipped a bit and then clutch out completely, felt myself get put back a bit and the tach needle hung at 6000 rpm, and then as it caught on and rpms went to 7500 i really felt myself get pushed back...

Chris will make a tweak to it I'm sure when you turn it up. I would talk to him about it first.

yeah we were talking about his car earlier...I think he's going to make a trip over to me so we can go over the car and make sure it's healthy and tune it with a wb02. I'm going to put my trusty g-tech in it and make sure it's trapping what it should be for the mods/boost/octane. Maybe I can talk him into letting me drive it for a pass or two

there's a few questionable parts on the mod list that might be holding it up but we'll see what we can get out of it first and go from there.
