Whining and sometimes a jerking

when im on the highway i get a whining from my trany or transfer case its in the right front section of the car at about 50 to 60 mph on light throttle then sometimes it jerks as if i was hydro planeing any sugg i have a warrany through my credit union it is a bumper to bumper platinum package any help would be great i have 40k mileage 03 VIII bone stock

def transfer case mine is doind the same thing . im going to go with a shep stage 2 transfer case

No not f-ed, you need a transfer case rebuild. Shep, ams, t.t. buscher.

get a rebuild gonna cost some but will be better in the end.. dont think warranty through the credit union. mitsu probably wont cover that being an 03

my friend had the same issue. hed had to put a new transfer case in it. the gear was stripped

Of the the members that have their transfer case go , your description brings up bad memories. Mine did the exact same thing when it started to go. At that time there was no one offering replacement ring and pinion gears. Shep just started offering that recently.You should give them a call to see what the turnaround time would be if that is the issue. Of course without taking it apart by someone who knows what to look for it could be ring and pinion or diff.

well the book says it covers transfer cases in my warranty info
