i have an atp 3076 on a built 2.3 and it spools just as fast as the stock turbo did. I also ported the exhaust mani and hotside of the turbo.

It comes with an external wastegate.

 

Dude, different(bigger) turbo on a different dyno on a different car. A 3065 will knock the socks off of your 30R on more boost/ up top without question.

Also the fact that your graph is scaled with the x axis only being 3k rpm gives the impression that the curve is much flatter and less peaky than it actually is. Try to get Al to print or post up a normally scaled one.
