This has been bothering me for the longest time...

When I start up my car in the morning when I depress the clutch pedal after turning the key to start it, the car seems to slightly jump foward a bit. Now it doesnt happen lets say when I turn it off and turn it on a bit later only in the morning it usually happends. Any idea why?

Maybe your clutch is adjusted a little bit too much? That would explain why it does not happen once the clutch is "warm" and expanded a little bit more... Have you adjusted your clutch pedal at all?

No I havent adjusted it yet. Regarding the clutch pedal, it seems like its more stiffer then my old MR was. I was thinking it might need to be adjusted.

mine does the exact same thing, but ONLY when its cold or hasnt been started in a while. If i start it after being driven it wont happen. I have no idea why, but i just changed tranny fluid and this seem to help out a bit?

Mine does the same thing, on a exedy clutch. I haven't bothered to adjust it though, as I should, it catches pretty high and gives me engagement issues sometimes.

I posted about this years ago and was told it was clutch adjustment or I was nuts. Hope to see a real answer.

Lightbulb The fluid

Well when the fluid is cold or even room temp your gears in your tranny basically act like a auto trannys torque converter. Moving cold fluid can move gears that are not together. Weather its in nutrail or not. Thats what i would guess. Then when the fluid warms up it gets thinner and moves more freely. I know i had a 30 below weather here in ND and my car dies evey time i let out the clutch. HAVE TO DO IT SLOWLY.
