That'd be me you're talking about

Our builds are pretty similar..

So far I've paid for all of these. I'm waiting on my car to come out of the paint shop to begin installing...hence the reason why I haven't put any updates...When everything is in..then I'll post harcore on here

Mod List (performance only)

-AMS 2.3RR motor(sitting in my garage..what a motor!)
-Cosworth Head
-AMS 1000hp fuel system
-AEM EMS
-Tilton C/C clutch
-ETS 67mm turbo kit
-ETS 4" intercooler
-Shep Gearbox
-Shep T-case w/cusco diff
-HKS Kansai intake manifold
-Buschur COP ignition w/cdi
-Greddy Oil cooler kit
-1200cc injectors
-CBRD radiator w/ slimfan

+all supporting mods...stage 5 rear axles, wilwood brake kit etc...

As for the guy who was wondering why we didn't go HTA35R..well for me..I'm looking at maximum output. And as AMS was saying..the max of the HTA35R is less than that of the regular 37R.
When the HTA 37R is available more easily..I'll buy it.

good luck on your build bluebyyou

Hey man, glad you chimed in. Ya, you were the other guy with this motor I was thinking about. We have very similar builds. Let me know when you get yours in, I want to compare notes. And 11secEvo7 hit it right on the nose, we're lookingformax power output. I am also interested in the HTA37R, but as he said, its not readily available. Good luck on your build aswell man

We have similar goals, I would liketo push for 750ish but Im not sure if it is obtainable or not, I rather shoot high. My tuner will tune more on the safe side, especially with such an expensive setup, so I may only see 700-725. We will really just have to wait and see what this motor/turbo setup is capable of.

No offense to Forged Performance, but with a build costing that much I would just ship the car to AMS since that seems to be you're preference in parts etc. You just dropped 20K+ why not let one of the best tuners/builders in the nation do it? Ivey has alot of experience with tuning in that platform.

To each his own good luck.

Suggestion noted, but I think you are unaware of what kind of a shop Forged is. Forged is one of the best if not the best 350z and G35 shop in the entire country. Sharif is a hell of a tuner and knows the FCon better than anyone I know. I am very good friends with the mechanic doing all the labor on the car and am well aware of what he is qualified to do. I trust him to work on my car. Don't be confused, Forged is in no way an inferior shop, they are a better choice of shop than 99% of the shops out there. Their shop is about 10miles from my house, so I can drop by and check on the progress of the car whenever I like. I did not want to ship my car half way across the country and not be able to know what was going on with it and whether it was being worked on or not. I would love for AMS to work on my car, but I dont feel that they can do anything that Forged can not do, in this current situation. As I said before, just because Forged is not a well known company in the Evo community does not mean they are not qualified to do the work, hopefully this can get their name out a bit as I strongly believe they are the best performance shop in the state.

AMS is a great shop, hence the reason Im going with them on a good pit of the major parts of this build. In any case, any decent shop can assemble all the parts and any good tuner can make it run correctly. Forged is an exceptional shop, not just a decent one. Im not exactly settleing for anything here, I chose to take my car to this shop for a reason. Everything doesnt have to be done at AMS for it to turn out properly. AMS has been more than helpful throughout this process and has offered great support. I dont consider going with Forged "taking a chance" its a top notch shop.

^^^ Agreed. Any shop that can push out numerous 750+hp VQ engines is more than capable of doing an Evo. Especially when the entire block is already assembled, so all they have to do is bolt the block in, bolt the turbo and other parts on and than tune it. Also, Look at almost any magazines cover 350z/G35 and I guarantee it will either have Forged name or Z1 motorsports name attached to it.

Its the same price as a 35R HTA and only 400 more then a standard 35R. Id have to say yes. I plan on the FP housing T4Z HTA next season on my 1G.
