Doing a BR500 or BR600 package is very tough. The problem with trying to do a package like that is 99% of the guys out there have some or a lot of stuff before they ever decide to go that route. So you can't do an actual package for a kit like that. Building the car is no problem, making the power is no problem. Offering a package though is tough.

I saw it the first time JC evo1 but I am tired of answering the same questions over and over. I have listed the cams that I think work well many times.

yeh i know, i do search before i ask questions I know you like the JUN's and Tomei's for big power, and the cossie's for IX's. I was just wondering how the GSC S2's stack up and if the big lift on the Tomei affects driveability, thats all.

i guess that is the real tough point! you dont know what already going to be on the car.

how many of you r customers come to you with mildly moded cars (intake and exhaust) and then want this kind of power??

how about you extedend your current staged packages further. then you could have a say 5 though to 10. 10 being a 600bhp car like above.

its easy for people that have been in the EVO world (well on here and other forums anyway) to know exsactly what to fit and where to get it fitted. but the adverage guy, that one day wants an evo and then wants to mod it, has no clue where to go or what are the best bits to fit. if you have a tried and tested "kit" (and you basically already do!!) then you can offer him this nice and simple package.

also its a major selling point to your site. you could say for $xx,xxxx you could have an engone just like our race engines making 1,xxxbhp. its going to grab the headlines and pull people in, even if they only want a stage 1 or 2.

norris desgin do a similar thing. now im not saying its right, or wrong, but it will at leat give your customers a chance to see what parts and roughly how much its going to cost to have xyzbhp. now this kit option aren't going to be fixed in stone but they are a rough idea as to the best way to get there.

see here: http://www.norrisdesigns.com/products.asp?cat=68

i just think its a real chance lost if you dont market these cars! you said yourself they are fantastic and pretty easy to do. the figures speak for themselves. everyone knows how good you guys are. just join the two together and offer someone a simple and easy "drive in drive out with this....." kit.

finally, and sorry for rambling on so long, it would be great to get this "kit" out in mags. it would be great advertising and you might be hitting some of the market that you are not getting at the moment. again in press releases you dont want to be tlaking about a million and one option and choices. you just want BANG here it is the be all and end all of fast road, track and drag strip packages! from DD to out and out racer this is the kit you need!.......

Cheers for reading this cr*p anyway. lol

Chris.

With a stand alone engine management there shouldn't be any problems running any cam as far as driveability goes. I have tuned Tomei 280's, no problems at all.

I have no problem admitting I don't like the guys who own/run GSC, so I have no input on their cams what-so-ever. I don't sell them or suggest them but this is only from our conflicts in the past.

I will consider adding more "stages" to our site but it is difficult to do.

Dave, Pleeze sell one of these make-overs to somebody who wants it with a 3076HTA .63a/r so we can have one of these wonderful dyno threads on that turbo. Would love to see if it can come close to the Evo Green for low-end grunt and still make maybe 450 awhp on pump gas no meth!

Thanks,
Gary

Dooood, that is a thought! I don't know man, it's a 1990 Talon, what do you think about that? Built in 1989 just like the first Mitsu you ever had.

We built two 600 whp Talons last year.......may as well make yours the first one for this year.

BTW, I have a HTA3076 on it's way to me now. I am going to test it within two weeks if I get it.

Very good! I'll be watching for whatever info comes out of the HTA3076 testing.

Thanks,

Dave, have you ever made any huge pump gas numbers on strokers yet? I think they were all 2.0s right?
