From what I have SEEN and witnessed, the difference between a .63 and .82 on a 30r (3076) is about 3-500 rpm. I cannot attest to the differences in top end power, but from what I have witnessed with others going from smaller to bigger exhaust housings, once pushing the turbo to it's limits increasing the exhaust housing is basically shifting the turbos powerband to the right and up, at the expense of some response and spool down low.

( this is a guess) But I would say going from the .63 to .82 would be a couple hundred rpm in lag in exchange for more peak power and maybe more ability to maintain tq if the turbo is really being pushed.

What updates are you looking for? DB installed then tested the turbo, posted the results and then took it back off.

I believe that thsose are really good numbers on a smaller turbo that most people don't believe can't make alot of power. 22psi and 485awhp on this turbo is very good!

Just reading through this, I think everyone was interested in seeing some videos, as well as some results on a more stockish EVO vs. a fully built EVO. Not necessarily asking for more info from DB but perhaps anyone who has experiences with this turbo since this thread was started.

Anyone besides DB try one?

any chance of seeing the HTA3076 vs the standard 35r? this would really show the difference in response.

WOW what a great thread. How much is gained/lost with a .63 housing Vs. a .82 housing on a 35R?

This Thread shows that the 35R KILLS after 5000RPM's, which is where you will be if you race. I got my heart set on the 35R
