->realize that turning a bigger compressor requires more energy from the turbine. <- Thats how turbos work; you dont move more air for free, everything has a penalty. Move more air = more work done by the turbine on the compressor. Bigger compressor wheel with the same turbine wheel = more work done = reduced turbine efficiency. Thats how turbos work, there is no getting around that. Garrett GT-R turbine wheels are ultra sensitive and while they are slightly flexible up to a point, once you exceed that point the results are not what you would think, its beyond the point of diminishing returns

That being said, i think that of all the turbos, the hta35R is the only "hta" that could work as advertised, and more than anything as a single scroll in a constant pressure (high pressure) turbo setup. On one of our single scroll manifolds/DPs with a .82 a/r it would be decent. Not a twinscroll lowend/midrange but i believe a slight gain over a traditional 35R .82.... unlikely you would see any gains with the 30R or the 37R. The garrett turbine wheels are extremely sensitive and picky. We have tested a lot of combinations of GT3XR turbine wheels with various compressor wheels, not a single one performed better than the off-the-shelf garrett units. The 35R turbine is the closest to working with a larger comp (definitely not with the 37R comp tho) but still its out of its optimized efficiency range.

like i said in the other posts, if you want to use the HTA (borgwarner) compressor wheel, you should use the turbine wheel (borgwarner) that is MATCHED to that compressor wheel and the turbine housing (borgwarner twinscroll) that is MATCHED to that turbine wheel.

hope i dont **** anyone off, this is just my opinion and im probably wrong anyway. feel free to flame me tho, sorry if i cant respond for a cpl days, got to drive the truck/trailer to st louis for the NOPI race then to etown

Update

Just recently swapped out more aggressive Cosworth M3 cams vs HKS 272s and turned up the boost. Overall i am very pleased w the results, judging by the dyno
sheets the twinscroll housing isnt choking on the top end. I cant stress the importance of having the correct size turbine housing for optimal results.

Big thanks to:

So the 2nd graph is 31psi on what octane? Either way the spool and torque are very impressive and I'm sure with a stage 3 head the #'s would be better up top. To be fair if it is 31psi the comparisons to Bushur and AMS cars with similar psi and 700whp on dynojets wouldn't be fair since the car isn'y fully built. It's just been so long since the FullRace TS kits have been out and we still can't get trap #'s on a built car and high psi to compare. I'm just not very patient and don't mean to come of as a FullRace and TS hater. Better #'s and competition only make everyone better.
