In the market for a turbo kit!

Well i finally got some money together to buy a turbo kit but i have a few questions. My evo 8 mr as of right now has turbo back, intake, 272 cams and cam gears, boost controller, buschur race fmic, and custom tune. I put down 355whp at turbo trix and now im looking for some more power .

I want to make the most power i can safely with the stock block. High 400whp to low 500whp i think is the most the stock block can handle. So with that being said should i be looking into a 50/60 trim? or should i just get a 35r? I will be running only 93 octane since this is my daily and no meth also as of yet .

I have been looking at the ETS T3 equal length turbo kit. Will their lower incp work with the buschur race fmic? I was also looking at the bushur racing turbo kit but, i dont like how i would have to have a cast manifold if i got their 50trim kit. The AMS one is nice also but is pretty pricey compared to the others.

Also to run this turbo kit im guessing my single walbro pump wont cut it? For Injectors im hoping 850s should be okay. Also a new clutch is in order since im still on the stock one lol. If im missing anything else please feel free to chime in. Also please post any experiences with any turbo kits even ones i havent mentioned.

If you are looking to make the most power on the stock block with somewhat of a decent power curve, than any of the 35Rish turbos is what you are going to want to use. I am running the ETS 61mm which provides me with what I consider to be a great power band on pump gas. The turbo is definately slightly laggy compared to other turbos, however for its size, it spools up nicely. I've posted up videos in the past where I hit 24-25psi at 4,800rpms on the stock block/head/Ecu. You cannot go wrong with this turbo. I guarantee everyone is going to say go with the HTA35R. If you want to keep cost in mind, the ETS Turbo Kit with any of the precision turbos is an excellent choice that will provide you with quality, performance, and will not cost you an arm and a leg. I am using 880cc injectors on my setup and they provide me with more than enough fuel at my current boost level. You will not need a double pumper setup if you are planning on running pump gas on the stock Ecu/block.

I see that the ETS turbo kit has a lot of options as far as turbos. Would the 60trim net me over 450whp on pump?

A 30r should be a good choice. My buddy put down 4xx on Buschurs dyno with an AEM on pump. That would be the best choice IMO.

AMS has 1 turbo kit on sale right now. 3800 for a 50trim. Can't really beat that deal if you aren't looking for over 500whp

Not sure where you are located but check out DTMinc.com and call Nick and see what he can do for you on a custom setup. He is going to setup a 50 trim TS for me and tune later this summer. Check book willing! LOL
