Speedevil..as much as i would love to..the Z06 i beat was basically stockish..

yes the cosworth head is said to be good up to 10500Rpms...however my stock bottom end is not..i plan...however, as i get closer to ordering my stroker block from buschur to raise the revlimit to 8600rpms!

on a further note...i am having problems launching the car..i use to pull consistant 1.6 60's...so i know its not my driving...my 2-step is set at 6k rpm...what should i set it at in order not to Bog??

BUSCHUR POWER ACROSS THE WORLD ... AHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

well since i am revving to 8000rpms now on the stock shorty, i feel the need to rev to ATLEAST 8500rpms on first and second gear!!

as per buschurs reccomendations, i think he said that their 2.3 could safely be revved to 8500rpms all day long, if that is true (not doubting DB) then i then i could use a little bit more torque and a quicker spool up...however longetivity of an engine is a high concern to me...

i would appreciate David's input in this thread if he reads it for the benefit of the whole community..

to whomever mentioned Evolunchbox's evo.. i have already been in contact with him, and he seems to be really happy with his set up..which is a plus to help me make a decision..however i keep asking myself, why are all the Buschur built evos that have been braking records on pump for the past year have 2.0??

i do not autox, i do not road race....i only street race/drag race....some from digs and mostly from rolls (just like U2SLO)...its basically a weekend warrior...

believe me when i tell you............ i am confused as what to get

Yes Nick aka evolunchbox is very happy with his car and he does take it to 8500rpms. I have rode in the car when it was making 615 whp and it is another Buschur Racing devil. I cant wait for him to bring it home so i can drive it with his new power of 685whp. It made me see god at 615 lol. Nicks 2.3 is for sure a mid 9 sec car. Just research the hell out of both and talk to Dave. He will never lead you down the wrong path for what you want to do

Nick's car (evolunch box) is actually a 2.3 liter and set a new pump gas record here. The car made 615 on straight 93 if I remember correctly. He is using the 67 Ptrim turbo on it.

Jeff, Eric and I all went with the 2.0L because we knew we were going to mainly use the car for street racing/drag racing. Based on the RPM's we knew we would need at the dragstrip in 4th, we went with the 2.0L. We are going through the traps on pump gas at 8500 and 9000-9200 on race gas. The 2.3L won't do that.
