CBRD secret sauce turbo upgrade!
i hate to say it, this turbo wont match a red at higher boost... the red flows 10lbs min more than our turbo... this was designed for exactly what it accomplished today... MEGA pump gas numbers...
power under the curve, spool, transient response, and good boost up top..

Congrats Charlie and Chad. Thats a ripper for sure and I cant wait to see it on a road course tearing it up. I might have to drag it when I am out there
just because.
I needz turboz now...haha

Being one of the guys along with the crazy ride, not as long as Charlie, he has been testing this turbo for much longer than I have, I have nothing but a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Charlie and CBRD! It's been a long awaited scream of success for these guys! Chad and Charlie have been testing, testing some more, then re-testing again.
This is a true testimate to what this turbo can do. This is just truly amazing! Making 400 on Chad's dyno is not easy at all, I bet Charlie's car has a 10 second pass in her!
Talking to the guys a little bit earlier they were going crazy! Wish I could of been there guys
Again, another awesome day to own an EVO
these cars just impress me all the time and how far they can be taken...

...which is just fine with people like me!
I don't want to have to run race gas and sitch maps all the time, and boost to the limit of a turbo's efficiency for those numbers. I daily drive mine all over the place and to far away race events. Good, usable power with the simplicity of pump gas is good in my book. Way to go with this one.
As much as I have modded zee Evo already to make it a viable daily street machine/competitive track tool it's my only car and I like to keep things as simple, reliable and straightforward as possible. No race fuel, no standalone engine management, no meth, no ridiculously high boost. Don't even change to slick/semislick tires for circuit anymore (don't need to with 285s on it!).
Arrives at the track as is, takes some names, drives home and to work next day and every day in the exact same condition. Basically, anything I don't have on it at this point I don't want....except this BBK turbo when it come out. Or an FP Red if it doesn't come out before the stock turbo blows.

And yeah, I totally misread that dyno. My eye followed the wrong line. Peak torque@4000rpms isn't what I'd call slow spool though by any stretch
thanks guys... as for 1/4 mile times.... i never know... as thats not our thing...
i wanted a mega responsive turbo.... roadcourse will be the measuring stick for us...
just happy with charlies results!!
cheers
