Miata battery?
Is anyone running a miata battery as opposed to a mini battery? I'm interested in this option for reliability reasons and wondering
A. if anyone has any experience with this
B. which uicp's would fit with it
Here is an example of a kit for the evo

^^ I am in the hunt for a ideal battery that would be smaller than stock battery but much reliable and stronger than the Odyssey.
You can also try the Honda Civic batteries, they are small as well. I no longer recommend the Odysseys unless you drive the car every single day. The Oddyseys battery have a tendency to lose charge rapidly (I have had 3 so far).
Plase keep us updated, I am looking for a smaller battery as well.

I too am in trhe hunt for a new battery as mine just crapped out on me. I hardly drive the car because I'm away on business so often. I think I'm going to go with the Miata battery as well.

Been in the car since I bought it in 5/2005. The car sits alot in the garage since I travel for work...alot. It can sit two to three weeks at a time and it has never failed to start, regardless of temperature. I'll run the radio (SSL) while waxing the car, too...still starts after three or four hours of detailing. It's physically smaller...weighs less...has real CCA...has a real auto battery warranty.
