Any results or times from the shoot out
I'll say it. I'm impressed by the "true" street cars, that look like an Evo, inside and out, that use the stock type drive train, and that keep their amenities, like A/C. Those are the cool sleeper cars, which is what it's all about for me.
The more gutted the car, the less it's like an Evo. We all know that there are better (cheaper and more reliable) ways to go 7s or 8s with other platforms. Fox body Mustangs in that range can be done much cheaper than pushing an Evo into those times. It's interesting to watch what a few shops have done to get there, but it's not really very close to the Evo that was the starting point.
The true streetable Evos are the really remarkable builds, because they retain the sports car characteristics we bought the cars for in the first place, and yet dramatically improve on the power and performance.
My .02

Personally, fair or not fair as being categorized in this thread. You should all be applauded for your innovations & progress. Whether they are finding another piece of interior you didn't need, dialing in a different rear end, or whatever you're doing to go as fast as you are.
And that I mean genuinely to all of you hauling @ss.
I agree that tends to be the case (but not always), and that is exactly my point. This is where the real challenge lies.
"just an observation"why don't you put this miracle motor & HTA set up on the black car? it might run 8.4 or faster
PD
The Black evo is NOW SFWD so it CAN NOT be consider all mitsu chasi/drivetrain to compete in the fastest mitsu list anymore
!
Here are the rules for NOPI & NHRA http://ndra.nopi.com/2005/ndra_pro_rules.pdf OR http://www.nhra.com/tech_specs/sport...C_Rulebook.pdf
* Rear ends: O.E.M. bolt in differential casing allowed. No aftermarket substitutes that are not a direct fit application. Examples (8.8”, 9”, or 12 bolt). If vehicle comes stock with I.R.S., vehicle must stay that way for competition.

This rear end change obviously is a major alteration to the original platform. All other evo's currently considered in the fastest evo class running maintain IRS and can be run in Time attack or your local autocross/rally without major changes...isn't this what an Evolution is ALL about. EVOLUTION....wouldn't that mean going forward...this new OUTLAW car should be called a creation. You cannot re write the very obvious rules by altering the suspension geometry which will ultimately lead to better 60' times and reliability and not expect to be classed by yourself. Although there are no set rules...there are obvious limits to design change.
Let me say this....I think the rear end change that Buschur did was kool and from a reliability stand point a good move. I think it would have been a better move to go with a stronger IRS and there would have been no arguement.
I say we nominate the guru's here on the forum and let them decide or take votes if this should be considered in the current class. We are not kids and are a pretty large community....let the people be heard.
I don't think this should be decided by the person running the list although I'd like to thank him for taking his time to take this on.
Last time I checked this is EVO M.....let the peoples vote count

Back on topic:
I ran a 11.14 @ 122 mph with a 1.601 sixty!
Also ran a personal best mph of 123.6 mph on another pass.
- BR 20g-lt turbo
- BR stage 4 bolt-on parts
- Dynoflash custom tune on OEM ECU
- Full street car - 3300 lbs with me in it
- Stock OEM tires
- C16 gas
I am 100% sure I can get the car into the 10's with the same mods, weight, etc.. I am still on the stock wastegate actuator and blow off valve. I will be buying the FP wastegate actuator and Forge blow off valve and be heading back to the track soon!
Thanks David for an amazing event! I had a great time watching everyone run. I can't wait for the DSM shootout.

VERY Impressive!
Evolutionary, I see you quoted me, please note that I said "I would too, that's a long drive). I believe if you go to a race and have access to a trailer you should damn well use it. I was NOT saying anyting negative about him. Is his name really David B.? hahaha if it is, that's hilarious. I thought it was Chris or something.
hey hey now... StreetThisEvo ran the impressive times not me!
I can't take anymore of this thread... I read 18 pages of CRAP and maybe 10 posts were actual results from the event.
I could be grumpy after a 5 day weekend coming back to work tho

I would say "If you build it, 7's will come. . . "

The BR idea is brilliant. To make an Evo faster, that is all about and Buschur knows how to do it. We built our Evo's to go faster and faster, big turbos, lighter cars everything counts, but i think and this is my personal opinion there should be a margin.
Here is some footage of the Buschur Racing Drag evo, and street evo at this weekend at buschur sport compact event in Ohio. It was an amazing experience I enjoy every bit of it can't wait for the dsm shootout. Much credit to bushcur racing for his cars performing well, and also his customer cars that ran consistent low 10 passes all day long.
