9sec9/OKIX's EVO, ROUND TWO!
I can't believe I'm giving away my secrets. The orientation is different, but you can see the 'line of sight' porting I did. The wall will come down lower and the line of sight from the manifold flange area will look directly across it's line to the 'scroll area'. Don't drop the floor to the wastegate at all. You don't need the porting in the wastegate area.
If the casting has deep pocket imperfections, I leave it alone. I'm always more interested in smoothe flow than pretty looks. The tear drop shape to the scroll area should blend gradually so that the 'larger plenum' on the outside edge of the scroll area still 'feeds' the inside smaller area. Remember, your blending two directions. One from the exhaust housing inward and another from the larger scroll area to the smaller area. That's my tactic anyway.

9sec9 THANK YOU for the pics, but I'm having trouble figuring out the orientation of them. I should take pics of the stock housing I have here and compare them to yours me-sa-thinkin....
scheides, your welcome. Hopefully it will help some one make just enough power to put our record into history. Records are made to be broken and I've always understood that. What we've done is yesterday and it's tomorrow that I look forward to. Best of luck.
Robert, go BIG or go home. By the way, those wouldn't be her tonsils.

Scheides: If you look at the last pic posted by 9sec9, you´ll observe a tiny triangle of light visible at about the centerpoint of the image at the deepest part of the scroll. That tiny point of light is shining from a light source on the other side of the housing, where the turbine wheel is housed.
The remarkable thing is that you´ll never be able to observe that pinpoint of light if you were to look into a stock, unported housing. That means that 9sec9 has removed considerable material from deep inside the housing.
This deep porting gives the exhaust gas flow a straighter "look" at the turbine wheel´s blade tips. The sooner the exhaust flow hits the blade tips... the sooner the turbine wheel will spoolup.

I got to say am sure many have said this to you already. Tom the OKIX is just an unbelievable car. You, Tony, Dave, indy, BR team, and all your sponsor really deserve a pat on the back. The amount of work you guys did in the last few weeks is amazing. It sucks it didnt hit your guys goal at the track with the new set up. Keep your head up. Theres no question you will hit it. You and your team def deserve it.
Hmm i guess i should have posted this in the round 3 thread

Thanks kreionic. You do amazing stuff yourself. It always helps when you're motivated and have a passion. I've really enjoyed putting this car together. It's not through by any means, but we'll always try to find the limits of something somewhere. I'm sure we'll still break more parts, but that's how we find the true limits. Thanks again for your comments. We take the good ones to heart.
I need to find someone local that can do that to my green once I trade it in for a red. Thanks you for sharing! I just hope I can find someone I can trust with the porting work.
The Trent-0-matic doing the burnout just before the 145 mph pass on the FP-Red. I ran across this while reviewing some of the video, thought I would share it. I promise, no more pics.
