Question 1st dyno run today.

Well Ron @ Axis Power Racing, here in Belleville, IL put my EVO on his Dyno Dynamics Dyno today and my feelings are mixed. My engine mods are....

UTEC
255LPH fuel pump
HKS GD Max Clutch
HKS RS Suction Intake
RMR downpipe
Pruven test pipe
HKS Cat-Back

My question is this? We hit 259 WHP w/ 21 lbs. and Ron said that he thinks the intake is limiting me. It seems to be leaning the car out quite a bit. He suggested I go back to the stock airbox. Any ideas here? I have a Buscher filter sitting around. Any better? Also, I have read that the Dyno Dynamics machine reads low. How low, and what does 259 translate to crank hp? Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jeremy

I would suggest getting some sort of fuel management and tunning for your mods. That is really the only way you can take advantage of an intake.

jerastan: earlier today I read on one of the threads that DD dyno's put out about 17% lower readings than dynojets. So multiply your 259whp by 1.17 and you would have a lil over 300whp on a dynojet. Not too bad for your mods

thanks,
jeremy

Thanks Dude! I can't wait to get the stock air-box back on tomorrow and re-tune it. this hks is driving me nuts! Whatever the hp was, It got me a 12.726 @ Gateway International tonight. my 60ft time was 1.776. Gotta work on that!
Peace,
Jeremy

Oh sorry I didn't notice the UTEC on there. Did you get it tuned better. If it is leaning it out quite a bit you just need to add some fuel back in. A good afr to shoot for would be 11.0 or maybe 11.5. What does your afr look like with the hks intake on there and also what kind of timing advance are you getting?

Well I pulled much better numbers w/ the stock airbox back on. These were done by Ron @ Axis Power Racing, in Belleville, IL.
Thanks Ron!!!
