Trent, Great job of driving and putting the Red on the map. Looks like that mega-hole in the hose was holding you back a lilttle bit. Did anyone get video of any of the runs? I would love to see it. Now, I just get home and now I'm wishing I was back there again. Thanks again for the new pipe. Hopefully we'll get our car out to the track and see what we can do with the new combination. I'm trying to get the new office ready, then we'll hit the track. Have a beer for me.

Good numbers Trent, looks like the Red will be just as popular as it was with the DSMs back in the day.

+1..... With 1.45 short times and all those mods he should be low 11's EASY (and I don't say that much) on a stock turbo (race gas)

He was running street tires then, so no 1.4x 60s. He was also only running 93 oct.

Street tires still good for 1.6s, but if he was on 93oct, then not sure why DB mentioned it. There are still plenty deep into the 11s on 93oct, but those are IX turbos.

Trent was only running 93 octane on all season radials on the stock turbo. That's when it was 11.90's. The car only made low 300's on our dyno with the stock EVO8 turbo that was on the car before.

The stock fuel rail was good for about 720 whp on OUR dyno, this was on C16 fuel with a GT42r when I was doing the testing. If you consider 30% more for E85 then you could also take 30% away from the 720 whp and say the stock rail on E85 is good for 504 whp on our dyno. This is more than most people are going to make on this turbo so the stock rail is enough. Figuring it this way you will need 1200 cc injectors and a double pumper to make 504 on our dyno with the Red and E85.

E85 is better than any pump gas, better than 100 octane and I'd prefer it over 110 octane fuel. As a matter of fact I don't consider it much less than C16, it works killer.

My buddy went 132mph with a standard 35r with 1150cc and a walbro intank and a bosch in line...on e85 with over 95% duty cycle...so yeah 1200s are a must and i think dave is on point with saying the stock fuel rail is adequate for 95% of the people that will run reds.

I am on Page 2 only. Warrtalon, nobody is running 129 mph on a green on pump gas or 101 octane as this particular set up worked out to, nobody. Trent's car had a stock turbo on it before, EVO8 with this same set up and he was beating the absolute crap out of the car trying to get the car to run 11.90's. That was on the normal all season radial.

Well built GT35r cars we are turning out (the fastest pump gas 35r's out there actually) are running 10.50's at 135 mph and making 550 whp.

I'd say running 10.7 at 129 mph on a bolt on turbo with atleast 100 less whp is pretty darn impressive.
Thats an understatement...the first extra 1800 bucks i get will be well spent!

All of that checks out. Stock VIII turbo on 93oct with regular tires is tough to hit 11s, and 300whp sounds right.

Yes, 500-ish WHP on the BR dyno would be a good limit for the stock fuel rail. I would only approach that with 1200s on e85 on the red maybe. Our local folks are convinced you need to upgrade it even on the stock turbo.

Agreed on E-85 - it's magic juice.

CAn't crank - no oxygen and no efficiency. Moving is the only option, and I do plan to do that, woot! Eastern PA so I can be surrounded by lots of road courses and drag strips in all directions plus being able to go to Norwalk whenever I want within reason.
