stalling in neutral with a/c on only
OK, so I take my ride out today and notice that when the a/c is on, I roll up to a light, kick the car in neutral, and the car stalls out on me. I do not downshift coming to a stop (habit I got from owning an Eclipse). Now if I turn off the a/c, the car runs perfect. I barely run the A/C so not sure when this first began.
Recent toys added:
ARP head studs, GSC S1 cams, Coolingmist meth kit w/failsafe, ETS 3.5" FMIC, and tuned.
I have not yet done a boost leak check, but my boost barely tapers anymore and stays right at 25 psi until around 5.5 and slightly tapers to 22 psi on an Evo IX, so doubting a leak.
Anyone have an suggestions on what might have caused this problem? On my old Eclipse, I have had problems in the past with the ISC dying out that caused the same outcome. Thanks in advance.

i have the same problem, its not the tune, i been tuned 3 times,
i have a GT35R and AEM, 1000cc, etc etc, its prob a leak when i downshift, somtimes the rev's will drop enough to stall out the car, if you find the problem , lemme know
i will be changing plugs later to see if that could be it

Same problem here as well, its kind of hit or miss though because it doesn't stall all the time. The other problem I have is that the AC will blow cold air sometimes and other times not work at all. Had it looked at once and it was working fine, maybe the compressor has gone out on me or something now?
Same here except for the cold ac....she always throws ice cubes
This prob is definitely worse in the summer...worked some of the prob out with tuning but it still does it a few times a day.

I'm just glad I'm not the only one with this problem. Like others have said, it doesn't happen all the time with the a/c on. Then again with it off, it has never stalled out on me. Now if I cruise to a stop, down shift each gear with the a/c on, it works fine. I've reset the ECU which did not do anything different. I was thinking the cams, but the S1's aren't that loopy, almost stock. Today to test it, if I hit the a/c button off while coming to a stop, but keep the fans moving, it works perfect, so it's just under this one condition. Correct me if I'm wrong, but with an ISC failure, wouldn't it cause the RPM's to drop low no matter what setting the car is on? If it happened in all circumstances, I could pinpoint the ISC or something else, but with this one setting it makes it harder for me to locate the problem.
With the Eclipse, the signs of a failed isc would be I could cruise with a/c on or off, no matter the conditions and the ISC was unable to readjust therefore stalling.
Unfortunately I'm on the stock ECU, so cannot manually change the settings. If it comes down to getting a retune, then I'll purchase my toys to make it worth my way while it was tuned like a month or so ago.
If I find out anything, I'll post it up.
