boost leak on evo8?

i bought my 2003 evo8 a little more than a year ago. just installed a boost gauge about 3months ago. when i first installed it, i would boost 18-19 lbs. now im only getting 15-16 lbs tops. my only upgrades are an intake, and a greddy type-s bov. any help would be great. thanks.

Easiest way to check is build a boost leak tester. Then all you have to do is air up the system and listen for leaks. Your prolly going to yelled at on here for not using the search button...... But if you need anything feel free to shoot me a pm. If you go to the how to section you can find how to build a boost leak tester for under 10 bucks and its real easy.

I agree with what the Jeepster says above: Build a leak tester and do the leak test. The Type-S has been prone to leaks. It has been reported to leak at idle and at higher boost levels as well. Its internal diaphragm has been known to develop leaks over time.

If you are using the stock air snorkle then make sure the plastic pop rivets are holding it to the rad support.
