Ignorance is bliss. The masses hate on meth just because of hearsay. How many people have blown motors from bad tunes and just happened to have a meth kit, quite a few times they test the meth and it was running fine. Huge misconception with meth. You must know what you are doing, understanding the do's and don't s will result in a wonderful system with GREAT results.

I have been using methanol for about 6 years. I'm addicted. I rather not spend 3-4grand on a new motor so invested in failsafes.

I am running100% meth, Zeitronix WB,EGT,BOOST, with Audible, Visual trigger. Incorporated the mac valve to cut boost once the zeitronix detects fuel/egt+boost settings reached which are past a threshold. To further complement the zeitronix is the Aquamist DDS3 flow sensor. Lets me know when fluid in tank is low and makes sure the pump is flowing enough meth. If the flow is below a set threshold, and/or if water is low it will trigger the boost cut and thanks to JackofTrades & Tephra's match switching I will dump more fuel with my richer secondary map.

Here is a thread I made that shows my failsafe reaction time:

Don't hate on meth until you get to know her.

Well said bro
like ive been saying its all about having a good tune and preparing for what can happen if something fails

Running Meth? Safe or Not

Over 40,000 miles of methanol use, car is approaching 70,000 miles.

So long as the car has no liver and drinks responsibly there's no problem. Had my share of close calls early on though - hoses popping off, running tank dry, and several other stupid boost spiking experiments.

Lots of good info in here. I'd like some more Tuner responses, they probably know best... they dont just have horror stories and success stories, they put on 200 meth kits, and they know the percentage of safe or not....

odds of a fuel pump clogging, what happens then? or fuel line clog? or fpr hose gets disconnected for prolonged time. They all happen, so do bad meth kit installs with no failsafes. I've seen meth kits installed without soldering. I'll leave it at that.
