Looks quite nice, How ever I do agree there should be a new thread started with all required part numbers for the install for people that don't wanna read through 10 pages of jumbled information. Much like a clean install of parts, we need a clean thread for information

not sure if i read everything, but will this work with an aftermarket ecu? such as the Apexi PFC. this seems like a good thing to do, since i am blowing out my spark on my gt35. and i am really inneed of a better ign system.

I certainly hope so!! I am using the AEM EMS and I get to play with the coil dwell settings, etc., so I am assuming that if this works with the stock ECU, then aftermarket EMS's or piggyback controllers should do just fine.

Check Page 7 for pics. I have the entire wiring diagram and the pics of it installed on that page.

I have switched out the VatoZone 8mm spark plug wires for some MSD's only because one of the VatoZone wires was leaking at the boot and shocked me when it was on the dyno and I was trying to get the tach signal. The wire is more than capable, I just didn't want to get shocked anymore.

I have also considered either trying out the MSD coils OR seeing if I can get the full COP 300M coil setup to work with the DSM ignitor. One guy has tried it and it didn't seem to work so I may pick up the coils and try it out myself to find out why.

The current setup though, is running perfectly, with the Aurora coils. I have the gap set around .03, and run it out to 7900 rpm with no miss or blow out at 25 psi. Before this install, it would S the bed at 19 at a gap of .022.

As far as the gap goes, I started small and went out until I thought I had as much as I could get. I started at .022 and settled on .028-.030. Even over .030 it still doesn't blow out or miss. The Aurora coils are about 150-175% more powerful than the factory ones according to their output voltage. I am using BPR8ES plugs.

heres that pic. The mounting box is still unpainted and in the stock batter replacement.

Heres a few pics of my set up. I did have it all installed but currently cant figure out why im getting really bad spark blow out so i went back to stock.

Let me know what you think still need to be painted and wires.

Ill have pics of it all done later tonight when i go to school. Its cold outside and I have no garage. Im working on it though soon. Also dont mind the ugly UICP had a sheetmetal IM on the car and ended taking it off which left me with a modified UICP and no replacement so i had to make it work. Ive got a TTR uicp coming in this week so it should all look much better soon.
