I agree. If you're gonna do a kit, then you might as well get some real power return benefits. Why pay for a 3076, if, 1) the HTA 35 is about the same price but offers way more power, and, 2) for considerably less $ than a 3076 kit, you can just bolt on a Red which flows more air than a 3076 anyway?

i knew a 30r spooled somewhere around there i didnt mean to insult 30r as it does actually spool up sooner like 4200 rpms....either way fp makes a great product with the hta turbos and now the stock appearing turbos

^^lol Chad you must really hate the 30r....i use to think the 30r was the most streetable turbo to daily drive on and still make good power...but now my mind has changed big time about the 30r....some can make good power but you dont really hear about the 30r running good times at the track or big power on the dyno....i think 30r owners shoud consider the 50 trim hyrbid from cbrd/blouch....i know Show has already changed his mind lol

good thing is that there is a PCA event coming next weekend... I'll get some footage from that.

Car is evolving rather nicely Nils...ohso clean and functional.

I'm curious how you chose your ride height settings since I've set mine up very similarly purely by coincidence (OK it was purely accidental acutally) - what I mean is that the front appears higher than the rear if you look at the wheel arches and the rear arch sits low over the tire, with the rocker panel nearly being parallel to the ground. I kept it this way due to some funny idea I had about roll centres one time at the alignment shop and it just stuck. Curious how you came to a similar setup and how you feel your ride height settings relate to the way your car handles.

Mine (also running KW V3s and a Whiteline rear sway BTW) tends towards neutral/mild mild understeer when chucked hard into a corner, with oversteer/rotation readily available from either a slight lift, or a teeny bit of trailbraking, or heavy throttle foot. Very forgiving by nature yet can be easily provoked to play when driving hard in my case.

Just basically curious if there's a reason for your settings and what the end results were in your case as I'm always fine tuning. FWIW i run -3 camber up front and -1.6 in the rear, with 0.05 toe out f and 0 toe rear.

Also wondering how you're finding the FPRed so far for circuit and daily driving duty - are you still happy with the power curve and response and has the initial wowee factor diminished or is it really that stinking quick?

Also, I'm wondering how long you'll last before you eventually give in and go widebody

Cheers!

thx for the comments, appreciate it....

Yea, you want the fronts to have some suspension travel, so slamming them low is not the best idea for us track guys...

Robi setup my KW's so Im not sure on specifics here for the set up but we are prolly pretty close as far as camber, I just have alot more caster than you in the fronts. Because of my 60/40 center diff & TRE upgraded 1.5 way rear diff I probably see more oversteer than your setup.

the FP red is still amazing! I actually did get about 7 laps at the road course this weekend before going home super sick.... and it is just as great as I thought, I even blew a turn cause I was going that much quicker than I normally do

Yeah I think I should definitely just talk to Robi and pay him some $$$ for his wisdom vis a vis setup tips...I'm driving my local alignment shop nuts showing up there every week and tinkering myself.

I must say you're making it quite tempting to put my own car under the FP Red knife. I'm not a big power guy personally - was perfectly happy with the idea of a simple FP White replacement but good reviews coming from someone of your experience....well, let's just say that I know you don't put anyting on your car unless it works! Now my credit card's itching...since the Red is not sooo expensive!

Good luck with the car, I already thought it was one of the cleanest/best set up "realistic" track Evos around but now should be even more interesting when you get back into the Time Attack groove.

Yeah the FP Red is awesome...without a doubt its better than a 30R, but thats not really saying much because the 30R sucks. However, I've personally been in a BBK powered car before, and the top end and spool is absolutely ridiculous. Watchout for the CBRD BBK for sure.
