FP RED - for the road course
I like the thought of the FP RED but I'm thinking that might be a bit too much power for me. I'm already pushing the limits of my brakes and suspension with the stock 9 turbo. To upgrade to a RED would mean quite a bit of money above and beyond just the turbo.
I would be looking at a clutch, injectors, 4th gear ultimate tranny upgrade, and whatever braking and suspension mods to bring it all together.

Yeah the FP Red is awesome...without a doubt its better than a 30R, but thats not really saying much because the 30R sucks. However, I've personally been in a BBK powered car before, and the top end and spool is absolutely ridiculous. Watchout for the CBRD BBK for sure.
Definitely am watching out the CBRD BBK since I have zero interest in runing race gas etc...and the apparently quicker spool of the SBRD tubo would be just that much better for AutoX and daily driving IMHO. The FP Red and CBRD BBK would seem to be the best bang for the buck turbos out there at the moment, will probably come down to timing and price between the two....if CBRD ever let the BBK out into the wild!
FWIW I'd highly recommend a big brake upgeade for anyone looking at a Red or a BBK for serious track duty...I've been through every permutation of the stock brakes you can imagine (all sorts of pads, fluid, 2 piece floating rotors etc.) and only since I slapped on an Endless 6 pot front kit have I found somethnig that can handle the abuse. The stockers just can't dissipate heat well enough, even with ducting etc.
AP Racing or Alcon monoblock best bet I think - I went for the Endless 6 pot kit because I got a good deal on it (and it performs admirably) but replacement pads etc. are kindof hard to come by and are slightly more expensive compared to the AP/Alcon kits.
Ultimately the big brake setup I have is JUST able to handle the speeds I can chuck at it on the stock turbo - if you're entering corners 5-10 mph faster all the time I'm not so sure that the stockres wouldhave a chance in hell of being able to keep up for long!
Some guys swear by upgraded stock brakes, and I'd say they're fine for the casual enthusiast (nice to be able to run 17s too) but when you go hardcore it's a different story - I went through a set of Ferodo DS3000s in two trackdays alone once!

Nils, that was awesome footage! You were flying past the other cars. The car looks like it handles on a dime, and sounds incredible. From what I could tell, lag is pretty much a non-issue on the track.
I'm pretty sure that's his lap timer Sparky.
