I concede that since Nils has a 2.2L engine any turbo he has is going to spool faster.

Could you help me find the data?

All I can seem to find is these

The first four threads don't seem to show where full boost came on before getting their reds and where it came on after putting on their reds.

The last one is a picture of torque comparisons of FP's 3 turbos.

I'd get this turbo if it doesn't lose any low-end power. I plan on sticking with a 2.0L so a red seems it won't be a good choice. It's a good choice for someone looking for high-end power or someone with a bigger displacement it seems.

Nils,

Awesome to see the Red on your car. Is the q16 you refer to an unleaded gasoline? I'm not familiar with it. Keep us posted on your on-track testing....we are waiting for ours to show up as well.

OT-say hi to Jeremy for me. I will be in Vegas Thursday 11/20 - Sunday 11/23 for the PSCA Street Car Supernationals w/a bunch of my drag race friends. If you and J will be in town, I'd love to have you come by the raceway and share a few cocktails and a bunch of laughs......you can then see what my other vehicular vice is !

Paul, q16 is the new C16 leaded gas replacement.

The red hits full boost around 4000rpm depending on your set-up. I drove my buddies evo that had a red @ 26psi, evo 02dump, stock FMIC,stock LICP,and stock ex. mani, cossie m2's,etc.

Based on this I think you answered your own question. A turbo flowing as much as the Red will have some sacrafice in the low end. I'd even think a green would'nt be for you if you truly mean NO sacrafice on the low end.

And Nils, You are the mothereffin man. Always enjoy following your car's exploits.

Would you say so Nils?
yea, that is a good summary... that is pretty much what Mikey & I were saying as we were tuning the car.

-

Roger Smith - I really hate to speculate on different types of configurations & only want to share absolute first hand knowledge... so I dont really feel I can answer your question... would I run the FP red on a stock 2.0?.. yes, most likely, specially if it was a street car. Maybe wait till you can get a ride in a 2.0 with the red in it to get a real answer.

-

Paul - Nice!! I have a track test that weekend but we might find some time to connect, as Brian already stated (& he is always right btw) q16 is an oxygenated c16 leaded fuel... but what about my catalytic converter? its sittin on the shelf

OT but curious - how many miles on your car and how much of those are track (if you had to guess)

o jeez... i dunno....

about 15k miles on the car... id say 1/3 are track miles, another 1/3 are going to & from tracks & the remaining 1/3 are daily driver miles.
