Dave I know how you feel about making just 1 pass and not backing up... I just think that with the MPH you guys are running you could definately make a low 8 sec pass. I agree with you tho, its one thing to build a drag car, its another thing to build a street driven car that is just as fast. You guys are by far WAY ahead of the game on all your builds. I would just like to see you guys get another record under your belt.

Your right, because all of these 9 second cars arent single purpose vehicles......

Any evo that can run nines is almost 99 percent built for drag racing, you couldnt do anything else with that car and have it be enjoyable in the form and spec that it runs down the 1/4 mile in.

None of these cars autocross, road race, or do anything besides go straight, it's what they are MADE and BUILT to do.

If your not making a drag car to go as fast as possible you might as well not play the drag game IMHO. On a side note, I would love to see you build an all out drag beast and go fast

I bet any one of those cars could turn the wheel if they wanted to.

That is the dumbest statement I've ever heard. Yes, they aren't ideally setup for autox due to the turbo size but they can easily be road race cars. In fact I know Trent (IHUNTV8) road raced his car four times when it was setup just like ours. Buschur's Magnum road race car is setup identical to ours in the motor department. I was also planning on taking my car to Mid-Ohio this summer but couldn't do it financially.

It would be downright scary to run any of your cars on the road course in the form that you drag race them.

Yes the Magnum was a roadrace car but it was built to a whole different level, it was a RACE car and I believe ran slower 1/4 mile times than you, that explains how different that car and your car are, no matter how similar the motor might of been.

Would I go out on a road course on race gas?? No because the car is scary fast. But I would take it out on pump gas because the car is very managable for me at that power level. I wouldn't go ***** to the wall right off the bat but by the end of the day I would be going full out.

BTW....the fastest I've personally seen the Magnum go is 10.2@140 on a road race spec'd alignment, so yes the Magnum is just as fast as our cars.

Please keep your all knowing internet wisdom coming as its giving me a good laugh before I head out for the night.

The Magnum is a race car, stripped, made for the track, you drive a street car.

The fact that its slower than your car and a race car is interesting, is it not?

Not saying its not possible just they are not suited for it. To drive your car from the strip to the road course a lot would have to change to make it managable to do what the magnum did if you see what I am saying?

Easy there Mellon... contain yourself.

The smaller turbo has let us run consistent 8's now and has gone 166 mph, keep in mind that it's also on a standard EVO trans and our off the shelf race FMIC. I'm not even concerned with any new times that have been run.

We are having a lot more fun in our street cars anyway to be honest. My car ran 9.1 and my brothers ran a 9.6 last night. Much better times running those cars and hanging out with all the guys at the track then driving home.

Terrible...TERRIBLE sportsmanship. Lost alot of points in my book from that post. x 1,000

AMS would never in a million years post what you just did if the situation had been reversed.

Thats why they don't talk like that, they don't even get involved, they just keep breaking records!

I post up in lots of threads of BR's giving praise as well, I am not merely here to cause trouble just to comment, calm down.

I am sorry that I do not compete with my evo, I am a poor college student, I do what I can, I wish I could afford to turn it into a track car. Or even be as lucky to have 2 like you

He has absolutely no accomplishments he has achieved himself? I don't post them online Nor do I think anybody on here cares, but hey I don't own the second quickest evo in the world!
