Can't understand JDM Gauges

Hello,
I purchased my car mostly new (previous owner had it for less then a month, had it checked out before purchase car hadn't even gotten past 3K on RPMS or 70MPH, finall someone who read the user's manual lol) and it has the JDM gauges on it. From left to right (driver's viewing) I have "Volt," "Temp," and "Turbo." The first two gauges (Volt and Temp) are pretty self-explanitory, it's the Turbo one I don't get. I've been to various dealerships, and even called mitsubishi HQ's but no one seems to be able to tell me what the numbers mean on the gauge in regards to turbo performance or maybe even boost (best guess is that it's a boost gauge ) The numbers go from -76 (when at idle it's at in or around -30) and goes upward to 1.5. I can't figure it out for the life of me.

-On another subject, I could've sworn before my deployment (yes, I'm a Soldier, bad haircut, uniform, the whole nine-yards) that I could get "full boost" up to 1.5 on my turbo gauge and now I'm getting only 1.0. Worse yet, if I try to get past 1.0 or once I hit 1.0 on the gauge the engine shakes like it just won't go any faster, please if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd give you a high five and big salute! Yes, my CEL is on, I ran it to pep boys and they said it could be my 02 sensor, however they didn't know if it was the front or rear one. I'll list my mods (how little they are) in case that helps:
HKS SSQV BOV
AEM Intake
Again, I'd appreciate any/all help provided, thankyou in advance

it's in bar. its what every other country uses to measure boost. kinda like the metric system. you most likely have a boost leak.

Thankyou so much, I really appreciate it.

On the gauge though, do you know (or know somebody or forum thread) that can tell me what the numbers mean in relation to boost PSI (if it does relate to that)?

They come like that here too man...every stock boost guage for evo is in BAR. And your car should be getting 1.3-1.4 peak, but then taper back immediately if ur car is stock.

Actually, the stock gauge is in kg/cm^2, which is very close to bar.

Yeah, to be absolutely clear, the Mitsubishi gauge package that comes on the MR shows pressure in kg/cm² and vacuum in cmHg. If your gauges are the same as on my '05 MR, it actually says the units right on the gauge.

One kilogram per square centimeter happens to be pretty close to one atmosphere of pressure at sea level, and it's a very convenient unit to work with. It's called a "technical atmosphere" and it's equal to about 0.981 bar or 14.2 psi. This page on Wikipedia has a good chart to convert among various pressure units:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technical_atmosphere

The zero on the gauge is atmospheric pressure at sea level. If you turn your ignition to "on" without starting the car, the needle will pop up to right around here. Fort Bliss is far enough above sea level that your gauge may show noticeably below zero.

A cmHg, or centimeter of mercury, is the pressure exerted on a surface by a centimeter-tall layer of mercury at 0 °C. 1 cmHg is about 0.02 psi. The gauge actually shows cmHg below atmospheric, all the way down to -76 cmHg, which would be absolute vacuum.
